I read something about foobar, but to get it working smooth with Minim Server in a comfortable way it takes some configurations i did not know about. Is there an other smooth working client under Windows OS ? You are not tied to one manufacturer as with Sonos, Bluesound and whatnot to perform this. With Roon certified endpoints (the cheapest ones being RPis) you are able to play the same program material synchronously in several different rooms / zones. My suggestion would be to look into other DLNA/UPnP-compatible media server software options like JRiver Media Center Asset UPnP, or Twonky Server.
#ASSET UPNP VS MINIMSERVER ANDROID#
Ok, so for Windows OS we have XBMC client working with the typically XBMC rumblings. A big advantage of Roon over other similar software is that it doesnt rely on UPnP/DLNA. Music, videos and images from: your Android device local storage standalone UPnP / DLNA media servers: Kodi, Serviio, Plex, MinimServer, Asset UPnP, JRiver. Asset Control seems to send one track at a time to the renderer (Linn DS) and move on to the next track after each track has played for a few seconds. It's the same when using either MinimServer or Twonky as the media server. I can't make AssetControl play music properly. If you have a network music player that supports UPnP or DLNA (see this page ), you'll get much more from your music collection if you're using MinimServer as your music server software.

Somebody with some experiences to get it playing MinimServer is a UPnP music server with a number of innovative features that make it easier to organize and explore your music collection.
